Pieridae Energy, the proposed Goldboro LNG facility, and the compressor

Pieridae Energy, the company behind the yet-to-be-built Goldboro LNG facility, where Enbridge was supposed to send at minimum 50% of the gas coming through Weymouth, is now trying to shake down the Canadian government for financing. The private financing has been falling through as this facility-- on paper since 2013-- has never put one shovel in the ground.

Recently, opponents of the project wrote to Prime Minister Trudeau and a list of other leaders, asking them not to allow the Canadian government to finance the Goldboro LNG project. Pieridae Energy is now seeking legal action against the authors of the letter.
