Enbridge to begin excavating pipes today
/A diagram of the big dig starting today at the Enbridge Compressor Station. Over the next 5 months, they will dig trenches all around the site uncovering all the gas pipes they put in. Even though operating since January, the pipes were not protected from corrosion from salt water. (WE TOLD THEM THIS WAS A BAD PLACE TO PUT A COMPRESSOR STATION!!!) They will install cathodes over every gas pipe after excavating them which will provide electronic protection from corrosion. The digging in the toxic coal ash (AGAIN!!) poses potential health problems to the nearby residents.
