Activists occupy Enbridge's office in Waltham for 2 days

Since yesterday afternoon, a group of activists have been peacefully sitting-in at Enbridge's office in Waltham, to demand that Enbridge cease construction activities on the Line 3 pipeline, and to demand that they shut down the Weymouth compressor, the West Roxbury Lateral Pipeline, and the Alton Gas project in Nova Scotia.

This group held space throughout the night and into the afternoon today. Within the last hour, 3 people have been arrested.

We send our love and appreciation to everyone who put their bodies on the line, to speak out against Enbridge's destructive actions. In addition to the folks who held space inside the building for over a day, there were folks who stood outside in the heat to offer their support when needed. Thank you, everyone.

We stand in solidarity with Indigenous water protectors in Minnesota fighting to protect their land and water from Enbridge's Line 3 pipeline.

We stand in solidarity with all of the communities that have been harmed by the fossil fuel industry, and forced to live with the pollution and destruction left behind.

We will keep fighting.
