Weymouth Town Council submits letter to FERC in support of the paper briefing order

The Weymouth Town Council submitted a letter to FERC to voice their support of the Commission’s recent order to establish a briefing on the Weymouth compressor station. The Town Council does not have the legality to file as an intervenor on the briefing, but they can file as individuals. They lost this ability after the Mayor of Weymouth accepted $10 million from Enbridge in exchange for the Town dropping out of their legal battles. In addition to voicing their support for the briefing, the Council expressed their concerns about the impacts to air quality and public safety that the compressor stations poses.

We thank the Weymouth Town Council for continuing to advocate for the residents of Weymouth and of the Basin.
