Attorney General Healey responds to the Fore River Basin delegation

Another correspondence to Sen. O'Connor and the delegation in response to their letter to the AG regarding violations of EJ notification regulations by the DEP and concerns regarding the continued overburdening of EJ communities like the Basin.

We appreciate that AG Healey and her staff understand the gravity of our situation. Missing, however, is the true path forward to remedying the problem of communications, enforcement, and lack of EJ legislation within the Commonwealth.

We remain confident that Sen. O'Connor, as part of the conference committee on the environmental bills, will succeed in making sure that the EJ Amendment #52, that received unanimous support in both the Senate and the House, will be part of the final bill.
