Heat Advisory for July 19-July 21

The next few days are going to be very hot, with Saturday and Sunday reaching 100. Please take care of yourself. The Town of Weymouth posted the following advisory with info on cooling centers. Please read below for more details!

Weymouth Cooling Centers Available

Weymouth residents looking to escape the upcoming extreme heat can find comfort at the Fogg Library (1 Columbian St) and the Whipple Senior Center (182 Green St). On Friday, July 19th, the Whipple Senior Center will be open from 9:00am to 7:00pm, and the Fogg Library will be open from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

In addition, Weymouth residents in need of a place to cool down beyond these hours and over the weekend, on Saturday or Sunday, can call the Mayor’s Emergency Hot Line at 1-800-297-5733.

Extreme heat can be dangerous and even life-threatening if proper precautions are not taken. Please review the heat safety tips provided by the Weymouth Health Department.
