Fore River Delegation requests 2 day extension for AQ hearing testimony

Today, members of the Fore River Delegation sent a letter to DEP Presiding Officer Jane Rothchild to request an extension to the deadline for us to submit our testimony on the new DEP data. The DEP released a new, 750+-page report of air quality data last week, the night before our hearing was scheduled to conclude. The Presiding Officer was not pleased with DEP’s last-minute release of data and decided that she would allow the petitioners (FRRACS, the Towns of Weymouth, Braintree, Hingham, the City of Quincy, and the Hingham-residents group) four days to review the new data and submit testimony on it. The Fore River Delegation sent a letter today asking for an extension to this deadline so that our team could have sufficient time to review the document (our testimony is due tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21).

We are very fortunate to have local elected representatives who continue to fight and advocate for us.

The delegation includes: State Senator Patrick O’Connor, State Representative James M. Murphy, State Senator John F. Keenan, State Representative Ron Mariano, State Representative Joan Meschino, State Senator Walter F. Timilty, State Representative Tackey Chan, State Representative Bruce Ayers, and State Representative Mark Cusack. We send our sincere thanks to all of our reps to sending this letter!
