Take Action: Call Baker and Ask for Climate Resiliency Review

Take Action:  Call Governor Baker and ask him for CZM’s climate resiliency review of the compressor

In July 2017, Governor Baker sent a letter to the Mayor of Weymouth WITH AN IMPORTANT PROMISE.

Governor Baker promised that his administration, under the Office of Coastal Zone Management (CZM), would review the proposed Weymouth compressor station to ensure it would be resilient to storms, flooding, and future sea level rise.

Enbridge—the company that wants to build the compressor—responded with a “review”, but the Baker administration hasn’t. Enbridge’s review of its own project, without public comment, is UNACCEPTABLE.

BY THIS TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12, the Baker Administration will either deny or allow this FINAL PERMIT.

Can you help turn up the SPOTLIGHT ON GOVERNOR BAKER?

  • He needs to know that we expect him to HONOR HIS PROMISE.

  • His Office of Coastal Zone Management needs to DENY THE PERMIT.

Anyone can tell that the location cannot be protected from the ocean.
