Submit Comments by 4/24 for the Public Involvement Plan

On Tuesday, April 3, a public meeting was held to discuss the Public Involvement Plan (PIP) regarding the disposition of oil contamination on the proposed compressor site (North Parcel, 6 Bridge Street). This meeting was a follow-up to the initial PIP meeting that was held last November. The meeting was led by Kelley Race, a Licensed Site Professional (LSP), for TRC Environmental Corp. TRC was hired by Spectra to oversee the clean-up process, despite the fact that TRC has worked for Spectra on this project in the past, submitting documents in favor of the compressor station project. Kelley Race presented the new draft Immediate Response Action Completion Report, draft Activity and Use Limitation report, and draft Permanent Solution with Conditions report. These are the documents that need to be commented on.

  • Note that there exists a conflict of interest with the Licensed Site Professional (LSP), Kelley Race. Complaints have been filed for her removal with the Board of Registration of Hazardous Waste Site Professionals, seeking independent LSP with no stake in any Algonquin project.

  • Reiterate that no use = no risk
