Mayor Hedlund discusses the compressor on WGBH

Mayor Hedlund made an appearance on WGBH this week to discuss the town's concerns around Spectra's Atlantic Bridge and Access Northeast projects. Just before the segment on Weymouth, they talk about the West Roxbury Lateral Pipeline and the on-going resistance in that community.

We appreciate the Mayor's efforts to talk about this issue and we are glad that he mentioned the fact that a lot of this gas is intended for export. Remember, 85% of the gas coming through the Atlantic Bridge project is set to be delivered to Canada to be off-shored as LNG to Europe, South America, and Asia. So every time a Spectra person talks about gas needed in this area, they are having a little trouble with the truth.
