Join FRRACS and Film Our Way Films for an outdoor presentation of the award-winning documentary film, South Shore People Power, a story about the fight against the compressor station.
This film was directed by Robert Lamothe of Film Our Way Films. The film recently won two awards — Best Documentary and Best Educational Subject — at the 3rd Annual Newsfest International Film Festival and Awards in Las Vegas. Many thanks — and congrats — to Bob for capturing this fight and for spreading the word through his art!
We will be showing the film outside on the field behind the Fore River Clubhouse in Quincy (16 Nevada Road) on Tuesday, August 17. Parking is available on site. The event begins at 7:30pm.
Please bring a lawn chair or blanket and bug spray (in case it is buggy outside). We will have snacks and water available during the film.
Important note: With the spread of the COVID Delta variant, we are asking everyone to wear a mask, even if you are vaccinated. Though we will be outside, we are approaching this event with an abundance of caution. Thank you for understanding.
There is construction going on at the Clubhouse, so there are no working restrooms. If you need to use the restroom, there is a Dunkin' Donuts down the street (588 Washington St., Quincy). We apologize for the inconvenience.
