Christmas Eve Service

Christmas Eve Service at King's Cove Park with the Fore River Residents Against the Compressor Station. South Shore community and all are welcome to a special Christmas Eve service of prayer, scripture, Christmas carols, and candlelight in the sunset and glow of the Fore River Bridge. Rev. Gretchen Elmendorf, pastor of the East Weymouth Congregational Church and member of FRRACS, will share a message, "Fearless love born in unexpected places.”

Our service will also include prayers for those from the area who have gone too soon and are now in heaven with the "angels we have heard on high," bring “good tidings of comfort and joy," and celebrate the light that pierces all darkness. Christmas Eve commemorates the birth of the Christ Child, born to bring divine goodness and light into a time of darkness when an evil regime was dominating the people.

All are welcome, inclusive of people with faith and no faith tradition.
