People Over Pipelines March

This summer, there will be a 5-day march along Spectra's proposed pipeline route in Mass. Folks from all sorts of pipeline communities will be coming together to show solidarity in the fight against fracked gas. We will march to tell Gov. Baker and other legislators that if they don't work to stop new gas pipelines, then the people will.

The march will begin in Medway and pass through Sharon, Norwood, Canton, Stoughton, and West Roxbury (where folks will shut down construction on the gas pipeline there with our friends from Resist the West Roxbury Pipeline). Sunday we will march to Boston with a final, massive rally at the State House on Monday.

If you want to join us for the South Shore leg of the march, we'll be walking on Saturday, July 16 from Weymouth to West Roxbury:

9:30 am: Kick off rally at site of proposed Weymouth compressor (6 Bridge St, Weymouth)
10:00 am: Begin march
11:30-11:50 am: Snacks and rally at Quincy Center
Mid-afternoon: snacks at second stop (location TBD)
5 pm: Arrival at Theodore Parker Church, 1859 Centre St, West Roxbury

Join for a half-day, full-day, or the whole march! Housing and meals will be provided along the way. There will be shuttles available for folks who can't walk the whole way.
