Important Things to Note:

  • Please wear masks!

  • Please, one to a car unless you are with your spouse/partner/roommatesquarantine buddies.

  • Please decorate your car before you arrive! Place 8.5x11 signs on the back passenger window on the driver's side. Do not place signage in your back window or on your dashboard as the police may stop you for an obstructed view.

  • Sample messaging: “Danger. Toxic Venting in Progress”; “Stop the Compressor”

  • Watch out for walkers and joggers

Route of the Parade (scroll down to view maps of the route):

  • From Quincy Point Church, we will drive straight on 3A, towards Weymouth. The car parade will go over the Fore River Bridge and will enter the access road by turning right immediately after the bridge (the Calpine side).

  • Cars will follow the access road under the bridge and past the compressor station construction site. From there, cars will take a right turn to get back onto 3A, then go over the bridge, go around the rotary on the Quincy side and loop back onto the bridge, turning onto the access road again.

  • The parade will make three loops around the site. At the end of the third loop, cars will park at the Lovell’s Grove parking lot which is located on the Calpine side of the bridge (see map below). If that lot fills up, folks can park at the small lot that is across from King’s Cove Park. Extra overflow parking will be at 352 Bridge St., which is about a 10 minute walk. We will then have a rally in the park or gather along the bridge.

Please Note: Enbridge is planning a blowdown on Saturday, releasing 265,000 cubic feet of gas into the air. They will not tell us what time the blowdown will be happening at. We are concerned about what Enbridge is doing to our community and feel it's important to make our presence and concern known. That said, it is possible that the blowdown will occur during the action, so please be aware and take caution.
