Painting in the Park
A call for South Shore and Boston area artists to come and create in all media:
Draw, Paint, Photo, Three D, Video
We invite you to join us at King’s Cove park (located next to the proposed compressor station site) for an afternoon of art. Come and express your concerns for our environment and its vulnerability. There is no denying that corporations are putting our air and water at risk. Join artists as they lead the way in coming together to bring the vision forward.
Think Globally/ Act Locally
A toxic fracked-gas compressor station is proposed for a site facing the Boston Harbor Islands affecting neighborhoods in Weymouth, Quincy, Braintree, and beyond. A compressor station has never before been built on the coast and in such a densely populated area in the United States.
Come and enjoy the day and let's bring our voices together. Children and families and adults are encouraged to make art (there will be a children’s art table). Materials and instruction for getting started will be provided.
Come and create or just watch! Let's make a day of it!
Thank you to the Braintree Art Association who are participant members of this event.
